- RPI based modems are modems which do not have hardware based error
- correction. They rely on drivers under Windows to emulate the error
- correction. Even on a good day, it doesn't work was well as a regular modem.
- RPI modems also will not work with DOS based communication software. We
- recommend people stay away from them.
